Hello guys,
So, I got a Wireless adapter (Alfa AWUS036ACM) which supports both (2.4 & 5 ghz). So I decided to test a deauth attack on 5ghz network.
I am able to disconnect clients immediately when the router is using channels below 100, however when the router uses channel 100 or higher, the attack does not work. The output does not show any error message, I just detect that it does not work because the clients are not disconnected.
These are the commands I am using:
airmon-ng check kill
airmon-ng start wlan0
airodump-ng --band a wlan0
iw wlan0 set channel 100
mdk4 wlan0 d -B [BSSID] oder aireplay-ng -0 0 -a [BSSID] -c [CLIENT] wlan0
Any clues where the problem might be? Thanks! ;)

Some channels sometimes dont work on Airplay.. use MDK4
not sure if its the wifi card or the driver or something but use MDK 4 and try that

Clients does not support 802.11w.
Anyway I would like to be able to attack also when the router is using channels above 100. I cannot understand why it does not work.

I also tried it with mdk4, but it doesn't work on channels above 100.
mdk4 wlan0 d -B [BSSID]
ill guess its your card issue

I have tested it with two different virtual machines (Kali) on Vmware and two different wifi adapters ...same result 😓

when it comes to this you can set a specfice -from within in the index but channels ch 100 is not part of the index and will got to ch36 for the 1st 5ghz band and you will stay lock on that if you re not defining --band a or a correct Inbound range
esnedtily drop the " iw wlan0 set channel 100 " from you commands
aireplay-ng -0 0
THIS IS THE EFFECT OF SHOUTING LOUT TO ALL THE CLIENT TO DEATH
maby set that to 5 you sso noisyz

I skimmed his commands. Jeez, if you're going to use iw to lock your adapter to a specific channel, you're not going to be able to communicate on other channels. It's also unnecessary. MDK4 will find the correct channel.

Nothing changes 😕

In the case I do not set the channel, mdk4 works very slowly and some times hangs.
Why does my commands work like a charm, when 5G uses channels below 100? There must be some difference between channel range 36-64 and channels above 100...

Well, 5 GHz spectrum is divided into 5G Low and 5G Hi. However, I would try to eliminate other factors like channel width and OFDMA first. Could be that the unresponsive devices simply ignore the deauth codes.
