How to use twitter from the command line

To do this, you will need Linux.

First, visit the following link and create a developer application for your account: https://developer.twitter.com/en/portal/dashboard

After that, install the necessary tools on your Linux terminal or box by following these steps:

Update your system's package list with the command: sudo apt update
Install Ruby by executing: sudo apt install ruby-full
Install Twurl, a command-line tool for Twitter, using RubyGems: gem install twurl
Update your system's package list again: sudo apt update
Install Go programming language: sudo apt install golang-go
Clone the twttr repository from GitHub: git clone https://github.com/maaslalani/twttr.git
Change your current directory to the cloned repository: cd twttr
Build the project with Go: go build
Move the built twttr binary to your system's local bin directory: sudo mv twttr /usr/local/bin/
Authorize Twurl with your Twitter consumer key and secret: twurl authorize --consumer-key your_consumer_key --consumer-secret your_consumer_secret
And you're all done!
