Ghost of Tsushima

Had some time so decided to pick this up when it released on PC.
but I'm honestly baffled.


Don't get me wrong, the game is good and everything.
but this looks like AC but it's done by another developer?


what I have achieved so far in the story

- Unlocked/Learned things by finishing missions.
- "Cleared" an occupied enemy "base" and raised a "flag"
- Random Patrols which I end up clearing.
- Materials grinding


Subtitles are a bit rough, no idea how accurate the English voices are because I'm playing on Japanese (very immersive lol)

but I'm honestly not blown away by it, the game looks and plays like a lot of games.
it stands out on Performance (again, it runs great) and story-telling.


This isn't the first time that I picked a PS title that was released to PC and found out the game is very overrated.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it and I will keep playing.
As long as:
A) The story progression is good.
B) The things I unlock as I progress (be it skills/mechanics/etc) keeps the game challenging, then it's safe to assume I will at least finish the story.

I guess I'm a bit salty about PS players worshipping their exclusives until the games release on PC.

Well, that would depend which part we talking about LOL.

I don't dislike the story, if anything the story is keeping me hooked to the game.
but when it first came out on PS, PS players made it feel like "holy sh*t, there ain't a game like this in EXISTANCE".

Played this game when it just came out on the PS5, it's a good game to kill time with and it's full of bloody packed action.

Not gonna lie, dropping an enemy patrol unscathed is pretty crazy satisfying.

I love that they added Stealth but they still give you the option to rush head-first and massacre everything in your path.

10/10 in terms of combat for sure for me.

This is an incredible game and honestly one of my favorites. I went to every nook and cranny in the game as well as did everything it had to offer. Enjoyed literally every second of it. Cant recommend it enough.

but a week of playing couple of missions, side stories and random encounters.

I believe this was worth the hype, I really want to focus on main-story only to finish it sometime soon and free myself from it but it's hard to leave some juicy side stories, they are incredibly well done and very enjoyable.

Glad to hear you're enjoying it so much! Definitely don't feel like you have to press on in the main story until you're ready. Many times I was just exploring, getting collectables, doing side missions, etc, instead of pushing on with the main story. You do have some points in the game where you have to progress it to go further in the map, up north if I remember correctly, but outside of anything before or after that, the game is your oyster. Also idk if you have the DLC, but that was great as well.
