I'm curious and a bit concerned about this. While I understand the practical reasons for this, including preventing fakes on social media, I'm also cautious about what this means for creators. Given the intense backlash against AI-generated content in some circles (just check out Twitter/X for some extreme examples)... say, if I were to publish a niche book, I would still worry about the potential risks if the AI images could be detected as such. Because what if the mob comes after you?
I'm not sure if most AI tools are embedding invisible watermarks in their outputs and what factors influence this (like the specific tool or model used would be responsible??? I'm not sure). Does anyone have any insight into this?
There was this reedit post (named Why & How to check Invisible Watermark) which seemed to imply it's a model, irrespective of the tool used?
Anyone here using Fooocus or ComfyUI, how can you know whether you get a watermark or not, even worse if it's an encrypted one...
