Greetings everyone,
Are you aware of any SIP trunking service which allows to alter the Caller ID for outbound calls to any number desired?
I have heard about some well-known ones like Twilio, however I think they don't support it.
I have set up a FreePBX server, and even though I change the CID, the number shown is that provided by the service. I guess my current provider disallows such actions.
Thank you in advance.
Many moons ago, I used to write call center software. From what I barely remember, you need to subscribe to a SIP service provider (i.e. siptrunk, vitelity, etc.), and then configure FreePBX or Asterisk to modify the Caller ID of the trunk. I only have experience with this using Asterisk (it was as easy as modifying a config file), from what I can tell, it looks like it's a bit more involved with FreePBX, and might be something they don't support out of the box, as I see on their site that "Caller ID Management" is a paid Add-On.
From what I've seen so far, the paid service of "Caller ID Management" contains some advanced features.
However, there are some out of the box options in trunk level and outbound route level, that can be adjusted in order to change the Caller ID.
The thing is that no matter which modifications are made regarding the CID, there will be no results until the SIP Service provider allows to override the default number. That's the reason I'm asking for such SIP provider.
How about skipping the legitimate VOIP service? https://robodial.org/

Leaving this here as a reference for future use.
This is a list of SIP Trunk providers with their attributes noted down.
The attribute that matters here is "Clip No Screening Support" which must be set to "YES". That means that the service does not make any screening or filtering process of the assigned number and the user can assign, in theory, any number to be shown as the caller.
Also interested in this, particularly those that work outside the US.
Have heard about Narayana.im and Sip24, but haven't tried either of these.

Narayana sucks plain and simple. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, it may work ok outside the US, but recent crackdowns by the feds have turned this service essentially just a horrific waste money and ungodly amounts of time trying to fix. Not to mention the fact they wont refund the money i have in my wallet with them. Worst part is that it worked flawlessly a couple months ago. Real tease and then turned out right rippers.
Anyone know how to get an invite to Sip24?

You may want to look into VoipSV (voipsv.com). Seems to work as desired based on an initial test.

Used it with Zoiper and indeed it works. Thank you.
Do you still provide this?
Do you know a voip/sip company that calls mobile phones and we can change the caller ID?
