Both Python and JavaScript are great choices for beginners. Python is often recommended because of its simple syntax and readability, making it easier to grasp programming fundamentals. It's also widely used in various fields like web development, data science, and automation.
JavaScript, on the other hand, is essential for web development and runs in the browser, allowing you to see immediate results of your code. If you're interested in front-end development or working with web technologies, JavaScript is a solid choice. Consider what interests you more—general programming and data work (Python) or web development (JavaScript). Either way, you can't go wrong starting with one and exploring the other later.

I would be different and learn PHP.
PHP has better semantics and more closer to real languages (lower level languages) so adapting to multi languages won’t be too difficult. Python has a very unique structure which will steepen your learning curve. Javascript is 100% a must. Native JavaScript that is. Great asset in building high quality web applications.
Csharp is quite beginner-friendly.

Python is easy to learn, syntax is far simpler than others. JavaScript is great due to Node.js backends and the # of front end options. There are many reasons to learn other languages but in my opinion Python/JS/PHP are the most beginner friendly, but with enough complexity too you could learn more and more within each lang for years.
Big fan of python! freecodecamp has plenty of python projects that you can later read how someone else did it, if you get stuck. Once you get comfortable enough with the syntax of a language, you can learn about flow control and data structures. After that it's easy to switch around to different languages as you're just switching syntax. ChatGPT is also a great coach!

I agree with this. If you learn C you've got a strong basis for learning other languages as well. And it makes you understand things you don't learn from other languages. Since other languages are often written in C, it teaches you how things work under the hood. But if you'd have to make a choice between Python and Javascript I'd prefer starting with Javascript. It has a more common syntax and is more interesting but it teaches you in both frontend web development and general programming. But Python would be fine as well though. It depends on the type of application you want to build. It's really a matter of preference. Learning both languages is preferable in either case though.
Everyone is a big fan of Python, but I would recommend C# or VB.NET as a programming language and for GUI purposes. However, Java is a good language to learn as well it is similar to C/C++ in ways so it would make it easier to get used to those languages. Depending on what you're trying to develop or what your goal is would be more helpful in deciding.
