I am trying to buy something, and he's messaged every single one from this fake account pretending to be me.
It's funny I'm guessing he's a moron, I'm buying something not selling something.
It is someone active on this forum, because they know what my real discord account is, they had previously had the same BIO I had.
Laughing Man is not what I go by off-site, Most know what I do go by, and Pink LSZ discord has me there, so I think it's funny it's such a horrifically bad impersonation.

The simple fact that you're staff is probably enough for them to try. Unfortunately there are plenty of not so intelligent people which will easily fall for these impersonators doing their thing.
Honestly, allowing discord as a contact way on this site is a mistake.
All deals should be done on site via chat system, because then all logs are on site and no one can impersonate someone else.
I miss when it wasn't allowed.

Well they're surely targeting newer members mainly right? People that don't really know better and hopefully aren't the brightest. Those kinds of people will look at a profile like yours and it's more than enough from all of the big numbers and such to think you're plenty "trusted". These people often impersonate multiple members so it's entirely possible that's just from a previous one he was impersonating. If it's actually a vendor on here that is doing it though.. sheesh lol.

Very well could be. I and multiple others in the past saw a Discord account that would one day be pretending to be 1 member and then days later pretending to be another. Not like it's hard or unrealistic for someone doing this stuff to have multiple Discord, Telegram, etc accounts for however many members they want to impersonate either.

Agreed. The impersonator shit is also the sole reason I have it in mine now. It started around late last year, went on for about a month or more maybe where people hit me up quite a bit asking if it was me, and then it went quiet until the past few weeks when people have started to hit me up again or randomly make contracts with me I know nothing about. A couple have been scammed as well. That's on them for being idiots though. Natural selection. Can't help if they go to my profile which has big bright text saying I don't deal off-site, and then make a contract with me while talking to someone OFF-SITE claiming to be me lmao. Then also paying them or whatever before the contract is even accepted. Some people gotta learn the hard way though.

Fact of the matter is that people probably wouldn't do it if it wasn't yielding results, right? Like I already mentioned there are unfortunately plenty of not so intelligent people out there who will easily fall for this stuff. Don't see that ever changing either.
