Use a recent protocol for your Wifi, WPA3 is available, WPA2 at least. If you're skilled enough you can also try to configure a RADIUS server with WPA2-Enterprise auth.
Use a strong password, nowadays we often speak about passphrases instead of passwords. Change the default router settings, like the admin password, the SSID. Sometimes people recommend to hide the SSID but sometimes other people say that hidding an SSID could motivate people trying to hack it because they think there is something imported hidden behind, like for companies. Firmware / OS update, but if it's a router from your ISP you shouldn't be worried about it. If you're router is old you may still have a WPS function, disable it. If you're able to, create two different networks, for your guest, and for your personal usage If you're a psycho, and your router allows it, you could also configure MAC filtering Take a look at some software that enable you to monitor your wifi to see if anyone is connected to it. There are lot of apps for smartphone, there are also some for computers such as GlassWire but only for the paid version. Check your router tho, it should have this feature. Some standard recommendations include MAC filtering and turning off SSID broadcasts so that it can't easily be found. Long random passwords are good, too.

Using airmon-ng, you can see all hidden wifi, i'm almost sure the galaxy phones can see hidden wifi but I forget how it's done. But I still think it's a good starting point (Jul 26, 2024 09:22 PM)Take a Risks Wrote: Thanks so much i am doing everything you just said as we speak ! The best way to make your wifi uncrackable, make it random. Include upper A-Z, lower a-z, numbers and symbols. From my understanding, symbols take a slight longer time to crack and not many people will willingly run a hash with known symbols. Change your wifi name to something random also.
Fuck bitches, then we die.

I'm perfectly aware that SSIDs can be sniffed in monitor mode (which Galaxy phones do not have). I mentioned that it was a professional recommendation. Last I checked, CompTIA was saying that it improved security, like MAC filtering and turning off DHCP. It can make things more difficult for an attacker.
