Do you have any piercings?

Who here has piercings?

I first got my ear pierced when I was 16 and thought I was so cool but stopped wearing any kind of earrings for many years afterward. I had some friends who gauged their ears but never did myself. I liked to keep it simple. I now rock a few different piercings on my ears. I don't wear them at work though. Thinking about getting more but we'll see.
Nah. I had my left ear pierced when I was 14 or 15 but I haven't actually worn anything in it almost ever. I think I wore a piercing for a month or two.

Why not sure?

Now you're forcing me to write the reason. :D

Any form of skin penetration carries a risk of infection, especially if the wound is not properly cared for or if the materials used are not sterile. Some people have allergic reactions to the materials used in piercings, with low-quality metals often causing problems. Additionally, improper technique during piercing can damage nerves or tissues, potentially leading to ongoing pain or functional impairments. Piercings can also leave noticeable scars, particularly if the area becomes inflamed or infected.

In the Bible, the act of piercing and tattooing is considered taboo, as such actions are viewed as disrespectful to the temple of God.

By your logic, eating chocolate is considered not healthy.

But in reality, moderation is key when eating junk food, and hygiene is key for piercings.

I understand your point about moderation, but I think there are some important differences between eating junk food and the topic of piercings. While junk food does have health risks, most people can enjoy it in moderation without risking immediate or lasting harm. Piercings, on the other hand, are invasive procedures and always involve some degree of risk, regardless of hygiene or technique. Even with the best care, there is always the possibility of infections or other complications that may not occur immediately but can have long-term consequences.

It's more about recognizing the potential risks and weighing them carefully. Everyone should make their own individual choices about what is right for them, but it is also important to have comprehensive information in order to make informed decisions.

Junk food has very little nutritional benefits, with Diabetes on the massive rise in recent years. But yeah, it totally is different to piercings..

lol

Moderation and Hygiene is the key. Nothing else. Live you life good.

Well, I had lip piercing like 2 decades ago and earrings but I never did piercing ever again since I got obsessed with tattoos. 🙃 Anyways, I was thinking of having ear gauges but I am still weighing reality and what people would think of my appearance. Lol. 😆
I have no piercings myself, but I think it's awesome how you went back to rocking them after so many years. Sounds like you have a cool style going on.

I did have quite a few but I let them all close up. I had snake bites, 00 gauged ears and regular ears pierced before that. But I've taken them out since then and let them all close up
