This doesn't sound like what you're trying to do given the mentioned errors, but this is how you literally download Kali Linux in the terminal or at least the AMD64 ISO. You can just use curl to download files.

I'm new to this so after doing further research and putting effort! I noticed Chromebooks operate differently so to answer your question I said I have Chromebook to offer further info
