So I'm thinking that there's a lot of IT Professionals that float around here, whether it be networking guys or systems admins. And I feel like an idea to either convert/consolidate the Computing section into something more directly relating to IT/Cybersecurity makes sense. It could be an entirely new section as well. Named something like, "InfoTech" or "IT Professionals." I'm honestly shit at coming up with names, nonetheless. It could focus more on conversations relating directly to daily struggles. Whether that be issues people have at work, such as troubleshooting a strange switch issue. Or it be sharing tools and scripts we throw together to make life easier and more automated. Could also be a great section for sharing CVE alerts, and other security stuff that we deal with daily.
I really think it could bring at least a little bit of life back to a quiet corner of the forum that deserves some love. I feel like I can't be the first to have thought about this idea, but I also am curious to hear some other thoughts and plays on it.
I think the term you're looking for might be "DevOps Resources"? For a place to share little scripts, snippets, tips and tricks relating to making day to day little chores a little easier whether you're working in desktop support or managing a fleet of Linux servers.

I was thinking a bit broader than DevOps since we have a pretty fleshed out coding section. But there’s definitely some overlap for sure.

Special section for IT was discussed before and omni refused it as it will cause many section to be of lower content
Limited offer
Signature space ... 1k bytes per week
I'll consider your suggestion more carefully. It needs a bit of thought and review of existing structure.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
If the majority wants it, it can be logical, of course, if necessary
Could just make it " Cyber Security " but the all the hacking sections and pentesting stuff pretty much people who post info sec stuff over there. But yeah its all mixed up.
Name the section: IT + Cyber [just spit balling]
You could keep what's already in the Tech tab, move over the sections that contain more of the Blue/White/Red Hat-related things, and keep anything else "Hacking related" under the Hack Tab (Hacking should be the name of that Tab).
The only thing we would in theory have to move out of that section would be the Graphics related. But I'm not sure where we would move the graphics-related things to...
But Structure Wise:
Programming (Header):
Coders Lounge
Software Development
App development (formerly known as Mobile Development).
Web Development
HF API - I'm not sure the activity related to it, but it could be merged with something, or kept.
Computing:
Computing Lounge - (this could have the name changed as it's kind of a lot, and the younger crowd wouldn't click it lol).
Computer Hardware - Keep as is, it's already a solid section, keep it's sub-section as well.
Mobile Smartphones - Honestly, change this to Smartphones, kids now a-days don't say mobile... They say smartphone, or cell. (thinking of they younger generation, to try and bring more members in).
Microsoft Windows - Just change the name to Windows, as most people don't call it Microsoft windows, most just call windows.
Linux - perfect as is.
MacOS - Fine the way it is, but it's kinda dying out.
Webmasters:
Website Construction
Website showcase & reviews- Could be renamed to Showcase & Review
SEO & Internet Marketing - Rename: SEO & Marketing.
Social Networking - Honestly this could probably be merged into the Social tab, it would probably draw more activity towards that section.
Hosting & Web Servers - Fine as is.
We could move the VPNs, Proxies, and socks into the new section "IT/Cyber"
White Hat Hacking - This could be moved into this new tab as well.
We could add an AMA area maybe, so others can ask other community members about their experiences, advice etc.
A resources Section could be added in for others to help share tips/resources etc.
My addition to OP's suggestion is just a few ideas I have that could help expand onto OP's suggestion.
