If they are not well protected yes, SQLi is not as common as it was a decade ago but it still exists :

Sadly its not like it was a decade ago like Bastille said. But theres still plenty out there ive seen alot of philipines websites with the vulnerability ;) Do some sqli dorks in google and you will see what i am saying.

Yes they do if the system is vuln to it and if you can also bypass the WAF for it. It is a lengthy process well can be anyway...
