A New Learner Looking to Dive into the World of Hacking

Hey everyone,

I'm new here, and I was recently told that I should contribute more to the community. While I don’t have advanced skills or specific content to share just yet, I wanted to tell you a bit about my story and motivations.

I’m passionate about technology and the web. So far, I’ve mainly worked in web development, but hacking has always been a field that fascinates me. I’m here to learn as much as I can, and hopefully, over time, I’ll be able to contribute and help others through my own experiences and discoveries.

Thanks in advance for the welcome, and I look forward to being an active part of this community!

Hello there phiipephil. I hope you had a fun time with us in the convo room and that we didn't scare you away. I hope you find what you are looking for here. We recommend you take the time to read the HF Help Documents section. The answer to your questions should be contained in there. If you ever need help feel free to ask one of us in the convo room.

HI phiipephil welcome to HF

Nice introduction, glad to see someone passionate, that's one of the key to succeed in this field. If you have some knowledge about web dev then you web hacking will be more trivial for you

I recommend you to start here : https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=6263412 I've made this guide as I wish I had it when I started 6 years ago, lot of information, then I recommend you to register on tryhackme.com and to start learning and practicing there, it's a freemium platform, there is a lot of content for free and you could choose to upgrade later if you want.

Don't forget to read the Help Docs, in case you have white hat / cybesecurity / malware removal or malware analysis questions feel free to open your thread here : White Hat Hacking I'll receive a notification and answer your questions

Enjoy your stay !
