January 2025 Update: It's nearly $6.5
With wide crypto adoption. Do you guys think Coins/Tokens of Central Exchnages platforms will pump in value over the next year or two. Particularly because of the wide adaption of crypto and trading?
I say this because there are many. I mean a decent chunk of people out here who find it easier to start buying, selling or trading crypto on central exchanges. They might move onto self custody but their introduction to crypto might start on these Central Exchanges.
The token I'm looking at right now is BGB of BitGet Exhcnage. It's at $0.94. Has maximum supply of 2 Billion and a marketcap of $1.8 Billion. I see them lately pushing a lot in marketing. They are listing many meme tokens like Binance has been and in fact they are first to list them. People have been getting on their platform. Apparently it's big in China as well. Ever since the introduction of their token the market cap of it has been increasing as well as the platform get more popular.
I see potential in it because Binance's BNB is the biggest example. Binance is the biggest CEX right now and their coin stands at $572. $83 Billion marketcap.
Even a platform like KuCoin had launched their token (KCS) that stands at $7.60 with $1.2 Billion market cap. Though this token saw its boom in Q1 2022.
Do you guys think BitGet's token will be increasing many X more as people start to come on their CEX platform?
I also understand the inherent risk of CEX platforms and their token (upon which they have control).
EDIT: One more thing. It's inherent that the BGB token will gain value, if more people start to trade on their platform as they will be trading in BGB pairs and will be paying fees in BGB. Just like people have been doing with Binance's BNB.
