I know we still have 3 months left in 2024, but I also know there isn't much left in the way of big ticket games releasing during that time. With that said, I'd be willing to bet that most people will have the same game of the year pick come the end of the year as they do right now. Either way, what game do you currently feel is your 2024 game of the year?
This might be a bit of a niche game, but for me, it's going to be Frostpunk 2. I played the original, and I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay and design of the game. The sequel is even better, and a lot more polished than the first.
If I didn't ultra grind Bodycam, it would be Bodycam for sure.

I gotta give that game a try. Are you able to play with your controller? Any plans to release on console?

Not sure if they have plans on releasing it for controller anytime soon, I think eventually. Some people have figured out ways to play it on controller, but you'll be at a major disadvantage.

I wish I could play keyboard and mouse. It's just such a foreign language to me though.

I've wanted to play that game for a while, all the gameplay videos look so fun. Thing is, though, my pc is not even close to being able to run something that heavy. Looks like an amazing game to play, hope I'll get to try it out sometime.

Just have to put some time into it, it's not bad at all. I've been doing both for so long so it's just natural to me.

It's very good, just no replayability honestly.
I ended up quitting after hitting my goal of reaching Top 10 on the Leaderboards and 1,000 hours.
No reason to go back until they put out way more updates.

Wow, Top 10 on leaderboards? Congrats, that's a pretty big achievement.

It's mainly playtime and winning.
Just wanted to hit top 10 and hit 1k hours played since I'm the only one with 1k hours now before I quit lol.

Yeah, playtime makes sense. You play any other FPS games, or games in general?

I quit MW3 until Bo6 since I'm gonna race to first solo master prestige again and race for max camo. Basically gonna 100% the entirety of BO6.
I'm currently on Dead by Daylight until then.
I wanna get back into Black Desert Online, but it's too life investing especially because of bo6 being around the corner.

Yeah, BO6 is probably one of the biggest games that releasing soon. A bunch of my friends have it preordered as well. I've played Dead by Daylight, but didn't really enjoy it too much though.

Dead by Daylight is somewhat competitive now, but I'm still enjoying it even 8 years later.
Bo6 I feel will be good until SBMM kicks in.

SBMM is a pretty interesting topic in games. One the one hand, it's good for similar skill-based gameplay, but on the other, there's not really too much of a benefit of improving, as you're always going to get paired with others of the same skill.
