Whenever I have the plugin activated, I get a completely blank page instead of a normal index page.
Any idea what the problem could be?

Ok folks, I got it working. So Upload>Inc>Plugins>tab_menu.php
change it to be this:

check the error log history, it's probably old plugin that is not compatible.
post the errors related to ur code/plugin.

no idea lol.

if ur running xampp then its in the control center/ there's access.log // error.log // php.logs ?idk

or check whatever ur host error logs they must have php section or smthn.
or in mybb there's section for logs.

f, there's some errors in it that's y. it won't work. u must fix em.

look on those specific lines where the errors are, try to fix 'em

No need, fixed that error and another on line 170 for PHP version.
