Zipping boyfriend up in suitcase murderer found guilty.

After four years, and nine different lawyers many of whom quit defending her citing irreconcilable differences, Sarah Boone has finally been convicted guilty of murdering her boyfriend by zipping him up in a suitcase and then going to bed to sleep.

Probably a lot of these lawyers urged her to take a plea deal which would have seen her out in five years after having already served four. But she kept refusing to take it, and now lawyers say she's most likely going to serve life.

Sarah Boone is a Florida woman accused of zipping her boyfriend up in a suitcase and leaving him in there to suffocate. She has just been found guilty of murder four years after what she had initially described to authorities as a case of drunken hide-and-seek gone wrong.

Sarah Boone‘s sixth, seventh and eighth attorneys appeared before a judge and described the difficult conditions they endured as they asked to also be paid for their work.
All I have to say is good. She deserved the guilty verdict.

She sat there and watched him plead multiple times for her to let him the hell out. It wasn't a game at that point, especially since there's video she took herself of her saying "it's what you get" etc etc..

Takes a special kind of monster to go to bed knowing that your grown man sized boyfriend is locked in what is basically an air-tight suitcase.
Disgusting.

She turned down a plea deal where she would have only had to serve five more years because she already served four and they were giving her nine years. They give out those deals to try to save the state the money of having a trial.

I think that's why she had 9 lawyers because eight quit because she was trying to dictate to them what to do and even writing letters to the judge calling her lawyers buffoons and duds. So she got mad every time they told her a plea deal would be the best thing for her. She seriously believed she would get a not guilty verdict when no one else on the planet believed she would. lol

So she turned down a plea deal where she could have served only five more years and seen her son when he was still only 16, and now legal experts reckon she'll be in there for life for making them have the trial.

I was unsure if she just fell asleep because she was so drunk, but more video has surfaced of her just berating Jorge all the time and he was only 5'4" and super skinny which is why he fit in the suitcase

Basically he was with her because her ex husband paid her tons of alimony and the hardware store where Jorge worked closed down, so he was living off Sarah's alimony basically that's why he put up with her abusing him verbally all the time.

Anyway I have just been amazed at this case because who fights with eight different lawyers trying to defend you so that they all quit??? 🤣

No one should get only five years for such a despicable crime. Drunken hide-and-seek indeed.
Everytime I think "I don't think people can be so evil to ever top this", something like this comes out and I'm like "I stand corrected".

Well it would have been nine years since she's already served four years waiting for her trial because her lawyers kept quitting until she was on her ninth one and finally he didn't quit.

However, she turned down the offer of pleading guilty for only five more years of a sentence and pled Not Guilty, and lost, and now she gets life as punishment for not saving the state of Florida the cost of the trial.
I didn't remember hearing about the baseball bat that she hit his hand with.
That detail makes it obvious
I recall seeing the video of this years ago.

The fact that it took this long when the evidence is so clear is shameful, should be life in prison.

Yeah, absolutely everything about that case was ridiculous from the jump. Even down to the original bodycam footage.

She deserves the life in prison sentence.

Wow, this is just a case of a woman taking advantage of the situation and then killing the poor lad.

She won't be sentenced until it's Monday in the USA. The fact is this is two drunks who were horribly abusive to each other while drunk, but she turned down a chance to serve only five years, nine counting the four she has already served waiting for trial. She wanted everyone to hear about how he abused her and he did but she abused as well because they were both abusive drunks. I do think she fell asleep and didn't mean for him to die and he did do some horrible things, but so did she. Anyway she thought if everyone heard about the horrible things he did to her that she'd get a not guilty verdict, but self defense doesn't work like that. You can only win on the grounds of self defense if you are in imminent danger if you shoot someone in the back you will never get a self defence verdict. Unless a person has a knife at your throat or something where you can really prove your life was immediately at risk you aren't getting self defense because your boyfriend stabbed you in the leg three months before you killed him.

But anyway her lawyer is trying to get her a new trial.
This is a brutal murder. I can’t imagine someone spending their final moments suffocating at the hands of a wicked woman like this.

I don't think she meant to fall asleep and leave him there, but being drunk is not a defense, otherwise people would just get drunk to commit crimes. You can't get off being convicted of a crime by saying you were drunk

That's the funny thing. That didn't even come out until the trial and she admitted to that as a big part of her defense to try and say she was so traumatised by him that his hand coming out of the suitcase triggered her and was seen by her as a violent act that prompted her to hit him with the bat in self defense and thereby keep him in the suitcase as self defense. LOL I kid you not that was the defense because she went through so many lawyers who quit, so the ninth lawyer pretty much let her run things or he knew he wouldn't be able to work with her.
