My Mom Died Saturday

I haven't seen my mom in 20 years. She was a drug addict.

found out through a sibling she died in a brush fire Saturday night. Most likely caused from using drugs. I don't even know how to feel tbh. It is really weird for me honestly. Still comprehending it.
I am so insanely sorry for your loss buddy...
Even though you haven't seen her in 20 years, it'll still feel unreal, that's for sure.

Damn man, It will take a moment for the feelings to come since it feels so unreal at first, but they will come.
So don't do anything stupid my man.

I am here if you need to vent <3

So sorry once again.. my deepest condolences.
Sorry for your loss. Sometimes things just feel numb for awhile or it hits you hard. Some people just dont feel anything towards the unexpected.

Thanks man. It feels unreal for sure, especially the circumstances in which she died. She was homless when she some how lit the fire in a homeless encampment. I feel a void which is a bit surprise because I have seen her in so long nor had any sort of connection in that time either.

Thanks. I really appreciate the kind words. I do for sure feel some strange void.

Completely understandable.
And I am so sorry to hear about that, if you're homeless, you easily get attached to drugs just to make it through the day.

Shouldn't be this way... everyone should have a roof over their head.
My grandpa had a friend who was a drug addict, he accidently left the stove on and was burnt alive in the sleep (Sorry for even bringing it up, it's horrible..)

But hey buddy, the feelings will eventually reach you trust me, so grieve in peace my man, I am always here if you need someone to talk to.
Sorry for your loss. I hope you can get some closure from this this tragic event.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Wishing you strength in this difficult time.
I am really sorry to hear this and hope all is well with you.

Please feel free to reach out if you need someone to talk to.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Even when a relationship has been complicated, losing a parent brings up so many emotions. Some of them unexpected. It’s completely natural to feel a mix of confusion, sadness, and maybe even numbness. Grief isn’t always straightforward, especially with the added layers of distance and memories. Take your time to process. However you feel right now is valid. If you ever need to talk through it, we’re here for you.

Sorry for your loss bud.

It can be strange under the circumstances but at the end of the day, she was still your mother so you have every right to and will likely feel something.
I'm sorry for your loss. She's in a better place now. :)

Omg I’m so sorry to hear that. Mental health can be a really delicate thing. It sounds like she was struggling and suffering and at least she’s at peace, but nobody wants to experience such a loss. I’ll say a prayer for her and keep your head up. Hopefully we all meet again one day

Sorry for your loss. I had a scare recently and couldn't imagine what I would do without my parents. Especially on such a situation, having to hear it from someone else. Heads up.
Thanks to every single one of you for the support here. I really like this community <3
That's an awful situation mate, really really sorry to hear about it.

The grieving process can be a long and painful road and it can take a long time to even feel the grief of losing someone, even if it's someone you've not seen for a long time.
