Could anyone tell me which one is the best to learn advanced hacking? Hackthebox or Tryhackme? Like basic hacking can be learnt easily by hackthebox but is tryhackme better for advanced hacking? well right now I think that if you are a beginner you should use hackthebox as it is having many tier 0 module which teach basics but tryhackme has many advanced rooms. Please note that whenever I said Hackthebox I meant htb academy and not the htb labs, htb labs are the best always

HTB is better for advanced hacking. If you are just starting out, you are better off with tryhackme. Not only that but also Tryhackme is cheaper. Once you learn the fundamentals, switching to HTB is a good idea. There are various sites for CTFs and if you want to make your resume stand out, do projects on Portswigger.

i dont think any of these sites needed . you can start fom kali linux . but before that you have to learn about networking not very advance just basic info like IP DNS PORTS PROTOCOLS FIREWALL etc . then learn basics of python and you are ready to go .
all these things i mentioned can be done in less then 15 days but these are required then start from network scanning you will be pro in few months with practice (Nov 3, 2024 06:08 AM)Gamer-the-d Wrote: Could anyone tell me which one is the best to learn advanced hacking? Hack the Box is more advanced, for intermediate to expert while Try hack me is more beginner friendly, if you're already advanced in hacking I would go toward hackthebox instead of tryhackme.

The "Hack The Box is advanced and THM is for beginners" thing is super outdated and comes from the time where HTB used to be more closed-off and elitist. HTB has starting point + HTB academy now (which is what I'd start with).
Imo the content on HTB is way better. I don't like THM very much. |
