Decompile .vbf file to create custom language

Hi!

I not knowledgeable within this topic but I got a firmware I want to unpack to be able to modify it and overwrite a language to my custom one. When I open it in HEX editor, 90% of it is not understandable and contains random symbols.

We are talking about a Ford .vbf file (firmware) used for the speedometer, I basically want to edit the UI text there

Could anyone help me with this :P ?

Looking at some other google results, it looks like they have some custom headers before the actual binary, so you could probably get to the binary you're looking for inside the firmware file with something like binwalk. If you can provide the file, I can take a look at it real quick to see if it's something easy.
