Hello again Hack Forums. Due to life circumstances I'd rather not go into to detail about. I haven't been able to do any hacking or any type of computer work to stay up to date. Last I was here everybody was using Shell Booters, and selling shells. I remember using SQL injections to upload shells, many people use to also sell private and public shells.

Now I see the main play of the game is using Botnets. I understand the concept of what botnets are, I just don't understand where to start with actually using one for DDos. Is there any free old crap botnets I could play with to help understand more? Especially before buying some shit I don't really know how to use and only have cursory understanding of.

Welcome back brotha! I also had just came back after 10+ years. I remember the days we used to have those php shell booters and sql inject just to upload shells lol! I figured most are using offshore servers and/or botnets now too. There are a lot of free botnets that you can use for ddosing, (https://github.com/yatt-ze/The-Collectio...er/Botnets)

Ah god i haven't seen some of these in a WHILE.
check out r00ts3c on github, they have an archive that will have a lot more of the tools and nets i managed to gather back in the day. Half of the self rep exploits built into these have been patched for a while, but you could still probably manage to get a couple hundred bots for an attack, but half will most likely drop after sending an attack.
CentOS 6.9 is gonna be the best OS to use for these btw.
