I've watched Polygon take a huge market beating the past year.
That chart shows 1 year and POLY is way down from highs. I'm not seeing the reasoning other than potentially the market is favoring other chains (competition market dilution). That said POLY has a ton of solid usage and adaption in various services. I would think with the pricing it's eventually going to turn around. It has to at some point hit a market low.
What's your take on Polygon network?
Time to buy a few POL and hold. I'm sure it's going to go back up in the future.

It's actually shocking how quiet POL has been in 2024. I suppose ETH has become saturated. Money goes where the highest returns are, and POL doesn't offer them.
POL was doing solid work in the partnership department, driving real world use cases, then SBF and Terra Luna rocked society's faith in crypto and erased all the progress POL had made.
I'd expect Base to be 2025's equivalent to POL of the previous cycle.
Not the fastest Eth L2
Not the cheapest Eth L2
Lacks a strong NFT ecosystem
Lacks a strong memecoin ecosystem
Not a lot of reason to use POL over OP or ARB or Base or a handful of other Ethereum L2's.
Sandeep is onto grifting new AI projects -- also they made horrible business decisions trying to poach nft collections when that was relevant. Really have just been a laughing stock since
Invested $5-8k last year, just checked my portolio. lost around 60% value. as SUI-3183372 mentioned, I'm one of those after sought high returns but still do some due dilligence.
I hope SUI will help my losses this year. :xD
Wanted to bring this up again because Pol is totally beat up on pricing but I've definitely been using it more and more since I can do ETH-like transaction for a penny. I think their transition from Matic to Pol and going fully as an Ethereum L2 network has caused some bumpiness in pricing.

It kind of gives me hope for the ETH network when L2 chains like POL make it more useful.
I don't plan on throwing big money into POL but I do plan on using their network for Tether over Tron which requires a lot of Frozen TRX for BW and Energy. With Pol I am not required to do $2000 worth of staking to get low-fee txns.

I feel like Polymarket is one of the best use cases in crypto is a while.
Price is definitely not doing well at all.. but this is a bull run of memes and hype, and not of technology and utility.

Unfortunately the market requires a certain level of marketing and hype in order to navigate past all the competition. That's why Cardano did so well. Their CEO was making the rounds on social media and was the public face. Tron has Justin Sun and that does well in Asia. Not even sure Polygon has a face to identify with.
Even their website domain is meh at polygon.technology. Pol is very nerdy, probably too nerdy to be sexy for the average investor. I'm just watching closely in case that changes because honestly, I like what they're doing.
Bump to discuss 15% up today. It's down however from op to .25.
Basically I'm still watching this because I find using Pol network to be cheap, easy, and fast. I wish everyone accepted USDT in POL and not just TRC-20's and ERC-20's both of which have much higher fees.
Pol #57 on charts.

Base is Coinbase, that's the only reason I need not to use it.
Arb ain't too bad, used it just fine as well.
Yikes, POL dropped as low as $0.15 since you've posted this thread. How the mighty have fallen.

🚀 Signature space for sale! PM me if you’re interested.

And there you have it. Market saturation. I think Sui is the one standing out. Poor Poly.
Alts arent suitable for long term investments, at best they're optimistically good for a short term trade but most times you're just going to watch them crash and bleed out against BTC anyway. Better to just buy the apex asset of the cryptoverse and the only decentralized coin on the market - btc

I just love Maxi's. Truth. Still fun to speculate and try to moon some coin. Bitcoin is the investment. Alts are the gamble.
