Can my identity be revealed if I use the Tor browser?

Is there any chance that my identity will be revealed if I use the Tor browser? If so, why?
As far as I know, I heard it's safe
Most definitely, although it’s not easy and is time consuming. If you’re just browsing the darknet and stuff the FBI will likely not care. But if you’re higher up on the food chain yes they will eventually find you if they want to. The government always finds you if they absolutely want to….all you need to do is look back at previous people who have been caught.

It stands to reason if your asking this question you prob don’t have much to worry about. Usually this is only asked by people who are new to TOR.

It's honestly rarely due to exploits in the Tor Browser. It's usually from slip ups in opsec in other ways. It's not like Ross Ulbricht got caught because he was using Tor. In fact they had to do a whole thing to distract him and literally steal his device to even get the evidence they ultimately needed to charge him. Now they probably could've gotten a warrant eventually anyways but I believe he was already logged in to several of his accounts or whatever when they grabbed it.

Tor isn't bulletproof but its pretty safe. Your ISP can see you're /using/ it but they can't see anything beyond that.
I don't really do rep for rep so if you're using your daily rep on me save it for someone else ❤️

Long time fascination with computers, politics, some gaming, but less so nowadays.

Maybe that's why I'm afraid of the government.

Proxies / VPN's / Common sense.

The Tor browser is just a browser with like 2 extra steps and maybe a pre-installed no-script.

Okay, thank you
But always remember to use a vpn or proxy before using the tor browser itself. Make the last hop extremely hard to find.
So how should I use it? Especially in IP blocked regions.

i have done some reasearch on these people and its crazy how time consuming it is for the fbi and government in overall, if you dont do really illegal stuff no one will care 👍
The risk of not taking risk is riskier than comfort.

Never Deal Off-Site!

As long as you don't make any stupid mistakes and aren't on the FBI's radar you'll be ok.
Tor is safe but its even safier to use a good VPN behind TOR.

it's safe but the fbi is on another level if you want to be 99% anonymous don't use your main pc go to an internet cafe use a vpn and just browse but even then the fbi will still find you there is no escape you can only really be anonymous against other hackers not the state and even against hackers it's difficult because there are so many ways they can track you down
If you want to be truly anonymous buy a cabin in the remote siberian taiga.
Proxy; try editing your internet history, or other methods
