📌 ESET Online Scanner - Complete Tutorial 📌

ESET Online Scanner is a powerful cloud-based scanner that detects and removes viruses, spyware, adware, rootkits, and other malware. It is a one-time scan tool that does not require permanent installation, making it an excellent choice for an on-demand malware scan.

🔹 Step 1: Download ESET Online Scanner

• Go to the official ESET Online Scanner download page:
  - Download ESET Online Scanner
  
• Click the "One-time Scan" button.
  
• The download will start automatically. Save the file to your Desktop.
  

🔹 Step 2: Run ESET Online Scanner

• Locate the downloaded file (esetonlinescanner.exe).
  
• Right-click the file and select Run as Administrator.
  
• If prompted by User Account Control (UAC), click Yes.
  
• The ESET Online Scanner window will appear.
  

🔹 Step 3: Accept Terms & Update Scanner

• Click Accept to agree to ESET’s terms of service.
  
• If asked, allow the scanner to update its virus database before proceeding.
  
• Click Continue.
  

🔹 Step 4: Choose Scan Type

• Select Full Scan for a complete system scan.
  
• You can also choose:
  - Quick Scan (only scans key areas, faster but less thorough).

🔹 Step 5: Configure Scan Settings

• Under Detection Settings, check:

• Click Start Scan to begin.
  

🔹 Step 6: Wait for Scan to Complete

• The scan may take 30-90 minutes depending on your system.
  
• You can continue using your PC while the scan is running.
  
• If malware is found, it will be listed in the results.
  

🔹 Step 7: Review Scan Results

• If threats are found, they will be marked as:
  - ⚠️ Malware Detected
  - ⚠️ Potentially Unwanted Applications (PUAs)
  
• Click Remove Selected to quarantine or delete detected threats.
  
• Click Continue to finalize the cleanup process.
  

🔹 Step 8: Save & Upload Scan Log

• Click View Log to see the scan results.
  
• Click Save Scan Log and choose Desktop as the save location.
  
• Upload the log to one of the following services:
  - Pastebin
  - Mozilla Pastebin
  
• Set the log to Never Expire and share the link if you need assistance.
  

🔹 Step 9: Finalizing & Optional Actions

• You may be given an option to enable Periodic Scanning for future scans.
  - Select Yes if you want ESET to scan periodically.
  - Select No if you prefer a manual scan.
  
• Click Finish to exit the scanner.
