In what authorities are calling one of the largest operations of its kind, law enforcement agencies from around the world have shut down Kidflix, a dark web streaming platform used to share child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
According to Europol, the platform had a staggering 1.8 million users worldwide between April 2022 and March 2025. On March 11, 2025, German and Dutch authorities seized the platform’s server, which was found to be hosting over 72,000 videos at the time.
The investigation—codenamed Operation Stream—has been underway since 2022 and involved cooperation from 38 countries. Europol described it as the largest operation ever conducted to fight child sexual exploitation online.
So far, 1,393 individuals have been identified through payment records tied to the platform. Out of those, 79 people have been arrested on charges related to the distribution of CSAM. Some of those arrested are also accused of not just uploading and viewing the content—but of directly abusing children as well.
Authorities say this is just the beginning, as more arrests and identifications are expected in the coming weeks.
