Thanks Bro hmu on here because I can help you as long as it hasn't been synced to the kiosk yet..polojayyy (May 19, 2025 02:15 AM)Polojayyy Wrote: Bro hmu on here because I can help you as long as it hasn't been synced to the kiosk yet..polojayyy Facts...... once you sync it to the kiosk it installs media tecs OTA update that disables brom mode
apparently you are one of the few it seems who might know a thing or two about these pain in the a$& tablets other than just plugging it in and tapping a button on the screen to start hexa. eeeeexcellent! so about BROM, I'm assuming that these updates are patches to close form BROM exploits that hexa takes advantage of. I am curious, because I don't have a dang otg at the moment, what happens when you try to run hexa as normal? no handshake? does the jump no longer work? i can get the device into a lower state (fastboot) but like I said, no otg.....

Jp6 devices come with a MediaTek chip. These chips come with a special mode called BROM or emergency mode. This is something that by default is not enabled but if the device goes into broken mode it will activate to allow the device to be flashed, the new OTA updates disables the ability to boot into this mode, Hexa is basically just a simplified version of Mtk client which allows you to flash Mediatec devices, when you try to us hexa it doesn't recognize that your in brom mode so you only get the first USB prompt (Jun 14, 2025 05:03 PM)1750Simba Wrote: Jp6 devices come with a MediaTek chip. I too booted into fastboot. it is actually true fastboot. unfortunately though, because of the updates, which do exactly as are described above, the bootloader is indeed locked and being enforced. there is actually an Exploit that chatgpt said was widely known by techs in the field that can get connectivity. I had hexa connected briefly and saying it was flashing but the bouncer came and kicked my ass back out..... twice. but supposedly there's a little trick that involves the headphone jack and timing your disruption of the boot process at just that precise moment in which all the planets and stars align! power, test pad, blank screen, timed sweet spot, and voi LA! that doesn't work, it's on top uart!

Lmfao......one things for sure there's away in we just need to find it, nothing unbreakable, I've been trying to figure out away to allow someone to remotely access the tablet for the streets, but I haven't been able to get them connected yet, I think if I find away to get my dude access he can get in hopefully... I don't know anything about a securus or what that is but it sounds like you really need this. Unfortunately on forums things can take a bit, but hope you're having an alright day (Jun 28, 2025 06:13 PM)1750Simba Wrote: Lmfao......one things for sure there's away in we just need to find it, nothing unbreakable, I've been trying to figure out away to allow someone to remotely access the tablet for the streets, but I haven't been able to get them connected yet, I think if I find away to get my dude access he can get in hopefully... Lol that's the thing, there's no widespread access to these things they're probably really simple to figure out at this point I'm surprised nobody has figured out how to open one up and just throw a raspberry pi in Not saying it's easy or a great idea but just seems surprising this isn't a thing DIY tablet seems more doable than jailbreaking specific models that are updated every few years probably more legal too I have a family friend that does work teaching tech and computer skills in prisons in a certain state. Maybe they should teach prisoners how to make raspberry pi tablets as a core tech skill THen we could put our taxes to helping people actually learn shit, not just sit around jailbreaking jpays I feel bad this is the state of our prison system. It should be better. |
