Begin with the foundations.
Consider networking concepts such as IP addresses, DNS, and HTTP/S, which are integral to the functioning of the internet. You need to understand that framework in order to grasp how machine communication works. Regarding systems, venture into Linux. Not only use it, but also genuinely probe about. Learn to live in the terminal. Just basic use will help. If you can't deal with basic commands you'll soon become stck Python is a good place to start. Not relevant whether you have ever coded. Starting is simple, and you will find yourself using it extensively anyway—automating tasks, scraping, and testing ideas. Also include web basics. HTML, JavaScript, cookies, forms, sessions – knowing this helps you determine how sites should act... thus you know when they are acting foolishly. And yes, investigate common suspects such as SQLi, XSS, and file inclusion. A reasonable beginning point is OWASP Top 10 ![]() The Brotherhood Vibe Legends

Bastille, I'll gladly let you take this one if you're reading this...
But OP, listen to the advice here. Learn networking, it's not that hard. I promise. Even I'm learning it. Learn how to use Linux (kali is preferable but I use ParrotOS, they're virtually the same thing) Then you register for sites like TryHackMe, and HackTheBox, or you can just go to http:// https://hackforums.net/showthrea...d=6263412 this thread. You might actually grow to love using the terminal more than a GUI. (I love both but terminal when I need shit done NOW and FAST.) |
