I don't think so, if you deface a website, the webmaster will simply check the logs to see how you got into the server, check for any persistance, fix the flaws, and restore the code (with flaws fixed if it's related to the web code)

Hackers don't do this for money, they usually do this for the fun, for political / ideological reasons, stuff like that
