What’s that one small or unusual thing from your childhood that you still find yourself wishing you could return to? I think we all have something, and it probably reveals more about who we are today than we realize.
For me, Christmas was truly magical when I was young and still believed in Santa. Even after I learned the truth, the excitement of potentially receiving the presents I most wanted never faded. Thankfully, as I grew up, I was able to get nearly every new gaming system that came out, including Sega, Game Boy, N64, and others.
Miss not having responsibilities and not having to worry about keeping a roof over my head. Granted, I am stable to not have to worry, but we all have it in the back of our minds, and it can sometimes ramp up depending on how things are in life.

I'm always reminding my younger daughter to enjoy her youth while it lasts. Having no responsibilities and minimal consequences was truly amazing. The only real issue was deciding what fun activities to do or which friends to hang out with each day.

If only we knew how important those times were, we would be very different people today, but the question is, would we be better off or not. Maybe in a parallel universe we knew. 😁

True, I think things would be different if we knew this information; it would almost create a butterfly effect. We would act differently, and things would be alot different.

Yes! I remember playing hide and seek and stuffing myself in a small, cramped crawl space in my parents' house, where I was never found. This was a big win as a kid :)

It's the first thing I thought of when I read your threads title.
Not having any responsibilities at all. My biggest worry was how I was going to ask my mom if I could stay out all night long.

Yes, I definitely remember eating my supper so quickly because I could see my friends on my street playing ball hockey. It's definitely the cause of me eating and drinking too fast today! 😆

Yep! My biggest concern was where my parents going to let me take my bike out and go meet up with friends. I cared about pretty much nothing else.

Oh yes, how much we loved our bikes! They were freedom machines! You knew it was time to come home when the street lights turned on. You said your goodbyes and made plans to meet up the very next morning. 🤩
Hmm i think my best answer is, everything was simple nothing to do just chilling all day playing with toys, everything got too serious too fast haha

You’re absolutely right, brother. I remember when I was supposed to go to soccer practice, but I was caught up in an intense Baal run with a great group of people in Diablo 2. Luckily, the soccer field was right beside my house, so I ran home, snuck in, and played for almost an hour. When I returned to practice, I told everyone I had cramps, and no one noticed. Yeah, I did that a lot!
