Here are a few photos of my workstation PC and its components, built for photo and video editing, as well as productivity.
It's small. Very, very small. Unfortunately, so is my PC case, which made the build process a bit of a challenge. Fitting everything in took some patience, and managing airflow in such a tight space wasn’t easy. Still, once it all came together, the result was exactly what I had hoped for.
This setup is exactly what I wanted: compact, powerful, and efficient. It takes up hardly any space on my desk, which is a big plus for me. Despite the small footprint, it has no trouble handling multiple demanding tasks at once. I can edit 4K footage smoothly, and it even keeps up with 6K and 8K timelines without any noticeable slowdowns.
The Intel i9-12900K has been the core of my workstation for a while now, and it has been incredibly reliable. It handles everything I throw at it, whether that's video editing, rendering, or running several applications at once. The performance is consistently strong, even during long, intensive sessions.
Now these i9 processors are known for running hot under heavy loads. That’s why a high quality cooling setup is so important, especially in an SFF build. I went with the EK Nucleus AIO cooler, and it has performed really well. It keeps temperatures safely under any throttling range, even during heavy extended use. I also added Noctua fans for the AIO's exhaust, which help keep airflow consistent while keeping noise levels low. Even when the system is under a heavy work load, it's nearly silent.
For the GPU, I chose the RTX 5070 Ti. It's been fantastic so far. It runs cool and stable, and it easily handles graphics-intensive tasks without stuttering. It speeds up rendering and exporting times, and it also performs great when I want to unwind and play a few games. It’s nice to have that kind of versatility.
