Hello everyone,

I’m interested in starting a journey into cybersecurity and ethical hacking, but I’m not sure where to begin. I have some basic knowledge of Linux and I want to learn more about penetration testing, network security, and exploiting vulnerabilities.

I would like to ask:

-What path or roadmap do you recommend for someone starting from my level?

-Which tools, languages, or platforms should I focus on first?

-How would you suggest practicing safely and effectively?

My first piece of advice is: Don't.

Not because I don't think you should, but because realistically, anyone pursuing these things can and will be replaced with automation via AI in the future.

My part 2 of this is to learn a trade.

If you want fulfillment in life - learn a trade, make the money, marry and have kids to pass on your last name and bloodline with.

Otherwise you just die and then nothing happens. You and your bloodline, gone. Forever.

Anyways yeah, if you love it, go for it. Start with networking and certifications, etc.

Learn OS systems inside and out.

Firewall shit, etc.

Then maybe a programming language or two and go from there.
