I would argue for hours with anyone who says this isn't one of the top 5 web software generators around right now, or that AI isn't a solid replacement for development teams.

We've used it for a number of projects. We have exported many for off-lovable development & prod deployments. If you aren't comfortable with git or server admin though, just use their hosting & backend integrations.

You can easily produce what would be weeks or months of coding and launch your own SaaS or whatever you want. It usually does nail the concepts, but make sure you do not give it too many requirements, or try to accomplish too much at once.

You should feel comfortable jumping in to review security, perform QA, etc. If you don't know any code or web dev & server mgmt principles, then all I can say is be very careful... And learn quick. Not everyone can actually run an enterprise software company, but we're in a time where companies like Lovable allow anyone to create a web software. Don't be surprised if things fall apart if you over-prompt for features without knowing what to ask for in technical terms, how to test, etc.

Example prompt:

create a social media company called 'Y' - just the single letter Y. Users sign up and can ask a question that must be 200 chars or less. They are encouraged to ask a yes/no question and WHY? or another why question -- but any question is fine -- if posting a non-question, it must in response to another question --- all profiles public, but no first/last needed - no-space A-z0-9 regex username format --- secure, full best practices, and most importantly: clean and concise code - we are not looking for every feature, this is an MVP that handles sign up , log in , post question, reply to question, and anyone can view but no sub-replies, etc. No frills or advanced features, get it done quickly and with incredibly beautiful design from shadn/ui but use hacker dark/green colors for theme sitewide

for a very short while, Formspring was a hit, and then apps like Snapchat, insta (bought by meta), and others popped up
Tiktok i guess is the modern equivalent of an app competitor to FB

Messenger as an app is a competitor to whatsapp & others

There are so many different angles i feel like lol
