Interesting shift from the BoE — shows they’re realizing that over-regulating stablecoins could push innovation offshore. A bit of flexibility might be exactly what the UK needs to stay relevant in the global digital asset space.
Great news, I am dual citizen so I need at least one passport to not give a shit about crypto.

Regulating crypto is a huge mistake. It would be like requiring ID every time someone uses cash, and requiring a full record of that cash, and then banning cash that was once used by someone else in a crime ....

For example, in most studies for currency "handling", they are able to find cocaine, fentonyl, and other drugs on bills, all around the globe.
If you've touched a $1 bill, you've likely touched cocaine residue. It's that common.

No thanks to regulation. The losses are worth the freedoms. People can be smarter if they are concerned about their wallets.

THAT SAID... Stablecoins should always be stable.
I am not saying there shouldn't be any laws - I'm saying they shouldn't regulate crypto in a way that prevents its general use by the public, anonymously.

For example, if someone commits fraud, that's still a crime.
If a stable coin says they're 1:1 but they lie and are actually 0.2:1 ratio, then that's troublesome.

I'm not saying no laws. There should be! But there shouldn't be technical implementations that allows a government to freeze, block, or interfere with crypto systems overall.

There should not be balance caps for how successful we're allowed to be, in a world that literally runs on capitalism as a drug.
soy nuevo en esto y vi tu foro de que se trata todo eso no eh entendido
Stablecoin caps are weird, to say the least.

Makes sense. Too strict limits could slow adoption and push business elsewhere.
