My kids are homeschooled for a lot of reasons. They're still too young for a tech introduction, just want to get them the basics first.

Good, most education systems are outdated.

Back in the early 2000s my school REQUIRED every student to own a laptop. They REQUIRED everyone to have a speciifc one too - the iBook G4 is the one I remember most, but we had MacBooks too, and another model before the G4 (before my time *mostly*). Every class incorporated tech in some way whether it was movie editing, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, or another.

I came out of there thinking everyone had that. Nope, and they still don't. Sad!
Totally agree. Schools are still built around memorization while AI rewards problem-solving and creativity. The system needs to shift from testing recall to teaching how to think, adapt, and use new tools responsibly.
Finally 🤣🤣 a tech-savvy excuse for kids to blame homework on robots! ✌✌😁😁

yeah, it can be extremely boring. Smart people go two routes usually.. head down & following the directions, studying, and doing the work.... or staring out the window thinking about far more complicated things than what the teacher is saying.

There's a phenomenon where really smart people can completely fail in school envs.
It's overall important to update school curriculum to match today.

Obviously, learning the basics is important, but eventually you need to teach them stuff like this to become more productive.
It's not a bad thing, it's a wake-up call.
