From a dev's prospective how hard would it be to make a good , high quality skin changer for CS2 (windows 10 and 11)
How much would it cost , how long it would take.

It could take weeks or months to do it in a way that works 100% for the game engine, without detection, and without causing account bans.
I highly recommend learning something else if you haven't done this type of work before. it'll cost you thousands with a reputable dev. If there are open source codebases to use, that would be ideal. However, I would assume anything public is detectable. CS2 is not a big enough market in my opinion to justify the effort. They just shed $3B from a $6B peak on market cap... A ton of players are only there for making money, not the game... This market is ripe for an even harder crash. I wouldn't waste my time building for it personally. Once the market dips further, there will be even less players on CS2. The only reason to have a free skin changer is because of the cost of skins, and players *playing*. Since the main use case for skins is to sell them, the actual market for something like a skin changer is minimal. A large # of users aren't there to play at all. Maybe there's a way to sell skin changer software to influencers, streamers, etc... but again... The benefits are not big enough to justify the effort imo. |
