What do you think is right to say to a father that really hated his son, but his son has just committed suicide?
He hated his son because his son stole two million dollars from him when he let him run one of his businesses and also his son would hit on all his women staff and they would complain.
I also hated his son. lol
Still this is shocking. that man had to be worth millions himself unless he somehow lost a lot. I think the business model that made these guys rich would have been hit very badly by the internet though. Still I think this man must have died a millionaire. His dad would tell me he thought his son's wife was just waiting for him to die.
I actually answered his email already, but maybe I should have taken more time to reflect.
I think you should wish him well regardless of what kind of person he is.

Maybe be respectful, and the Dad may be thinking about all of the things he wish he did differently.
Maybe he deeply regrets his feeling towards his son
That said...
Sounds like we're dealing with a lowlife womanizer who steals millions from his own father.
Tomorrow/today is Tuesday by the way

It's a bit late to wish him well. He killed himself several days ago.

A missed opportunity to move with love and less hate!

I only met him once. It went badly.
His dad just talked to me this year in emails about distrusting and hating him with good reason, honestly. I'm sure his dad must be suffering with a lot of mixed feelings now. The man wasn't young. Any suicide of course is horribly sad. It feels strange.

I've lost three friends to suicide, so I can deeply understand the pain his father must be feeling right now.
No matter what happened before, I’m sure he still loves his son,
that love doesn’t just disappear.
it’s his child, and that bond remains, even through heartbreak.

Losing someone in your life is always hard.
Even that they may have not had a good relationship, he probably wish he had a better one.
Just say sorry for your loss and let him guide where he wants to take the conversation.

Sounds like the son only acted a certain way because he had his own issues and problems. And obviously those problems won, theres tons of good people who do horrible things because they've been hurt or abused in the past.

I do get what you are saying. Although I met this person only once and it was a horrible experience. His dad was even offering to pay me earlier this year to get dirt on his son because he was scared of his son messing with him because of his son correctly predicting that he cut him out of the will. He doesn't have that problem anymore.
I am in shock because while I only met this person once I have heard stuff about him over the years and everything. A few scandals about him made the news. But the weird part is he basically won in all three scandals he came out on top and he was so wealthy. Apparently the guy never went outside despite being worth millions, which I guess was a red flag hearing about that. It's all such a mystery.
Just ask AI to respond or ignore it
I mean doesn’t sound like anyone honestly cares anyways

Lol I don't need Ai to respond. I actually responded to the father immediately although in the past he has made sure to emphasise how much he can no longer stand the son for stealing two million from one of his businesses, hitting on all the female staff and also not being willing to buy a thing for his mother so that he ended up buying stuff to help his ex-wife with her health. But anyway just an interesting phenomena and of course very sad in every respect.
He also once caught his son having sex at work in the walk in freezer. 🤣
I wasn't going to ignore it. He sent me an email saying "Sorry that I haven't been in touch lately [Son's name] committed suicide. I'm kind of flabbergasted.
Wish him well and let time teach him what you don't need to

Why did he kill himself? well most likely his dad will eventually have regrets. I personally think he isn't a real businessman.
If he was one he would have anticipated the sexual harassment his son would have done at his business and stealing $2 million dollars.
If I was that dad I would have demoted him and make him clean the offices and be away from any woman in the company. I would have been embarrassed if my son did that in my company. I would have talked to him about it at the start that this is a work place and isn't the local club. So, don't be hitting on any woman or doin crazy crap. Even thought I would have told him this. I would have still anticipate he will still do this.
I wouldn't have let the $2 million dollars stolen and the sexual harassment of my employees get in the way of having a relationship with the kid.
I would have made the tough decisions and if he was upset at me. I would tell him that it's strictly business.
