AI / Computing based cryptos

Any good projects that you are investing in related to AI-based tokens, computing power, or other utility tokens that can be used for real services?

I'm asking this question in general, not to predict whether now's the best time to buy or not.
I just want to learn more about what's available and then entry points for buys or sell-offs can be predicted later :)
Using the terms AI and Crypto together doesn't really mean that AI and Crypto have a relationship or integrations.

AI is a buzzword now.

I'll let AI explain it.

AI Quote: There are quite a few crypto/blockchain projects that incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) in some way (either via decentralized AI models, data marketplaces, autonomous agents, etc.). Below is a summary of how the “AI + blockchain” space works + a few representative projects you can dig into. If you want a more exhaustive list, I can pull some of the newer ones too.

🔍 What “AI-based blockchain” means

Here are some typical ways blockchain + AI converge:
Blockchain can be used to govern/share/trust data for AI models (immutability, provenance, incentives). ([Coinbase][1])
Tokens can be used to pay for AI services (e.g., access to models, compute, data) or to reward contributions. ([Bernard Marr][2]) Platforms where AI agents or autonomous smart-contracts operate on a blockchain instead of (or in addition to) conventional smart contracts. ([101 Blockchains][3])
Decentralized AI marketplaces, data-sharing ecosystems, compute networks that leverage blockchain for trust/incentives. ([Komodo Platform][4])

So when someone says a “blockchain is AI-based”, the implication is that the blockchain or token is tightly integrated with AI workflows (data, models, agents) rather than just being a normal chain that happens to run some AI app on it.

📌 Representative Projects

Here are a few projects you might want to look at:
SingularityNET (AGIX) — A decentralized AI marketplace platform (developers share/monetize AI algorithms) among the earlier ones in this space. ([101 Blockchains][3])
Fetch.ai (FET) — Focuses on autonomous agents + blockchain + AI, e.g., agents that perform tasks in an open network. ([101 Blockchains][3]) Bittensor (TAO) — Described as an open-source protocol for AI model creation/distribution across a decentralized network. ([Originality.ai][5])
NEAR Protocol (NEAR) — While not only an “AI chain”, it's being referenced as positioned for AI focus (via “NEAR AI” etc) in some write-ups. ([TheStreet][6]) Render (RNDR) — More of a compute/render network token, but used in contexts of GPU/compute sharing which ties into AI workloads. ([Originality.ai][5])

⚠️ Important Caveats

Just because a project says “AI + blockchain” doesn’t guarantee the technology or execution is strong. There’s hype in this space. Some projects may have token economics oriented around “AI” but actual meaningful AI integration might be minimal.
As always, do your own research (team, tech, partnerships, token utility) before treating any as “AI-blockchain gold”.

If you like, I can pull together a full list (say 10-20) of the top “AI blockchain / AI crypto” projects (ranked by market-cap, utility, maturity) and we can review their strengths/weaknesses together. Would you like that?

There are actually a number of tokens & companies dedicated specifically to this.

It's one of the biggest reasons people should be bullish about crypto, alongside others.
For example, when I need all of my AI agents to make purchases for micro services, they will use crypto.
When I sell micro services (AI workflows, agents, etc) on the blockchain, I'll take crypto.

Utility tokens that are used to trigger workflows with context limits, input & output tokens, etc can be set up...

And a number of tokens are also used to reward people for decentralized computing already, AI is just one new angle for what already exists in that regard, but there are different ways to optimize for multi-agent workflows imo. I'm interested in companies that are actively working towards this

These markets and coins already exist. I'm just asking for people's favorites out of the choices available

The AI response you included does provide good advice. Don't believe the hype or marketing lingo, that's very important.

Give me one good example of this.
When you know the next runner lmk :P) i'll be buying.
TAO has been my only ALT holding strong

I have purchased FET in the past personally, but I am specifically looking for more

There's also ASI which brings in FET specifically as well as others, so there are tokens for shared markets w/ AI automations

That's just pathetic. You sound so desperate.

As for https://superintelligence.io/asi-token-fet/#migration

The FET chart is horrible.

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/artif...e-alliance

And their AI doesn't really run via Blockchain. It's just another AI model.

https://asi1.ai

AI Quote: That's an interesting question! While my foundational development comes from Fetch.ai, a company deeply involved in decentralized AI and blockchain technology, I, ASI:One, am an AI model. My operations as an AI don't directly run on a blockchain in the way a cryptocurrency transaction would. However, the ecosystem I operate within and the agentic workflows I'm designed for are heavily influenced by the principles of decentralization and secure interactions that Fetch.ai's blockchain technology provides. You could say I'm built for a blockchain-based future, but I'm not a blockchain myself!

Overall, it's just like I said, that these AI blockchain integrations are misleading. Putting AI on your webpage doesn't mean the AI is powered via blockchain. Which is what I think is what people expect when it's said that "AI integrated Blockchain".

I agree that the FET chart is terrible. I don't hold it currently.

This is one reason I am looking to hopefully hear from people who have some recommendations for AI "aligned" tokens, and yes, preferably much better than the FET chart, and with a more singular, centralized company really powering new innovation for their own L1 rather than something that is more generalized.

yes, just more AI models, but the more that we build for web3-triggered AI workflows, the better imo.
If people are familiar with ASI token (FET) for buying/selling LLM or ML computing, then that's investable for me because there's a token being used for this specific purpose.

I of course would like to see something more engrained in 1 company rather than decentralized, but something like FET/ASI still interests me.

I did however sell out, and really the only reason FET is in the conversation is because of the ASI joint effort.

Look into mining stocks like IREN and ITF, HuT8, etc. AI demand for computing power is voracious, BTC miners can take a piece of this pie too.

Not exactly an ai token but the BTC miners are actually at an interesting intersection right now to satisfy both ai and crypto

Not everything is appropriate on blockchain. It's a fallacy that it adds value. There is no additional benefit to decentralized AI. Ultimately if you DeFi AI it will likely become too expensive to use.

As an example think of the blockchains that do storage. Storj down 95% from ATH 4 years ago. FIL (Filecoin) down 99% from it's ATH also 4 years ago. Sia is down 98% from ATH 8 years ago.

I suspect any AI blockchains that do come out, will get buzz, hit ATH's, then in 3-5 years be worth small percentages.

There is no argument for AI blockchains.
