Project: Remote admin tool - with complete legalities covered.
Category: Legitimate remote administration / sysadmin tooling
Looking for: Funding, partners, maintainers, security auditors
TL;DR
I am making a remote administration tool for remote support, patching, and orchestration. It’s focused on transparency, secure defaults, and auditability. Seeking funding and partners to (1) harden security, (2) add enterprise features, and (3) expand real-world deployments. Open to equity, bounties, or sponsorship.
What it is
Well its not equivalent to any RAT you see on HF. it's fully covered with all legalities from where i am and is a lightweight cross-platform remote admin tool designed for sysadmins and IT teams to:
Remotely run commands, push updates, and gather system inventory
Secure file transfer & patch deployment
Role-based access & audit logs
Optional telemetry (opt-in) for metrics and health checks
Built to be transparent and auditable — everything is open source and easy to review.
Key features
-Cross-platform agents (Windows / Linux / macOS)
-Secure authentication (public-key / x509 / OAuth integration)
-Encrypted communications (TLS) with forward secrecy
-Fine-grained RBAC and session recording for audits
-Plugin system for extensions (scripts, sensors)
-CLI + lightweight web UI for operators
-Minimal footprint; low CPU / memory impact
-Tech stack
Language: Rust
Transport Layer:
-Custom TCP protocol (not HTTP/REST/WebSockets)
-Framed messages using protobuf
-Async built using Tokio
Encryption:
-AES-256-GCM / ChaCha20?'
Features implemented already:
-Encrypted client check-in / heartbeat (connection/.reconnect./disconnect
-Command execution over TCP
-File transfer functionality
-Client registry (UUID, hostname, IP, status, last seen)
-Multi-client support via threads/asynchronous tasks
- Remote Shell
- Reverse Proxy
- HVNC
- Registry/Startup
- Keylogger
- Microphone streaming
- Passwords recovery
- Hwid based unique authentication (prevents hwid tampering)
OS support:
Windows/Linux
GUI:
Iced.rs GUI (https://iced.rs/)
Funding ask & milestones
Seed amount: $1500 (or equivalent in kind / bounties) — replace with your figure
Planned milestones:
-Security audit & pen test (3 months)
-Improvised GUI
-Enterprise RBAC + SSO integrations (2 week)
-Hardened Windows agent & code signing (1 week)
-Managed SaaS offering prototype for paying customers (3 months)
You can fund whole milestones or sponsor specific issues
What sponsors/partners get
-Priority feature requests & roadmap influence
-50% for any sale made using the product
-Early access builds / private staging deployments
-Commercial licensing options / white-labeling (discussed separately)
-Partners can boot the project somewhere outside the HF for a commission
Some screens, still working on updating the Screenshot since the idea behind was to create a cli RAT but that would be extreme technical to use.
