I thought we knew that basically all social media is bad, we only see what people want to share, so it's usually their high points. So we get FOMO and other such things going on.

It's why I only use Messenger for family now, I don't really want that, but most of my family doesn't get the whole you can talk on other platform things without supporting The Zuck.

Maybe someday Facebook will face the consequences of it, but sadly it seems Meta is also getting their dick sucked by AI fanboys because of the research papers they facilitate which is somehow a good thing for them? I don't know, I feel like I might just be yelling at a cloud and this is a no brainer, but mind you, not sure I always saw it this way, especially when I was younger.

They do this. Mark Zuckerberg has been called before the bar a few times and was confronted over this issue.

All the times he lied and / or brushed away the negative effects of his apps on kids and teenagers.
