Since Stanley already generates a daily list of the top 10 flippers, how about turning that into an official forum award?

The idea is simple:

members who place in the Top 10 or even the Top 5 for a certain number of days earn a special “Daily Flippers” badge.
It would recognize consistent performance in our byte-flipping game.

I’d be happy to design the award if the idea gets approved.

What do you all think? Any suggestions or improvements?

Yeah, I think it would be good to have another challenge in addition to the current flip award.

To boost forum activity, maybe the user has to reply to Stanley on the same day that the flip leaderboard is posted (be HQ though) instead of only staying in convo for the flipping itself.



It could also be interesting to have Silver/Bronze/Gold versions of current Flip Reaper award.
Or Gold/Platinum/Diamond to add tiers above the current award

I like the idea behind what OP is referencing, but it'll unnecessarily clutter up the awards page more. I think the Flip Reaper you released is sufficient for the flip game.

I personally like the idea, but the problem would be so many people fighting for the flips by just do a flip of 10, 1000 times.

I could only see this working if the list was based on winnings.

The fairest thing that could be done is have it tied to most successful flips in a row.

Tiered awards for betting (ie reach certain level) on bytes would be cool and help out byte sellers too.

Hmm, I see your point yeah but you could always argue that new people enter the byte market by purchasing from someone and then uses their own forum strategy or w/e to pivot into that particular part of the market. Honestly I do not see much reason to this until bytes actually regain significant extrinsic and intrinsic value for users (i.e. allowing them to be used for more features such as thread pinning or utilization in the marketplace for a similar concept but would likely require some type of moderation). A simple module integrated into MyBB, premade award similar to the hustlers award or a link underneath the lounge that says Byte Leaderboard [Date Here] which displays a host of different stats would be pretty cool though. What do you think @Jamika@?

I completely agree with you… but I think Omni doesn’t want to make it official by creating a store or getting involved in the matter. That’s what I believe, unless he decides to do so, as I’ve been hoping for a while.
