OSINT LinkedIn Search Engine (Looking for feedback)

I’ve been working on an OSINT project called BehindTheEmail and wanted to share it for discussion and feedback.

The tool pulls publicly available data from LinkedIn based on an email address. This can be useful for identity research, and leads generation during OSINT investigations.

I'm looking for feedback from others who do OSINT work:
- Suggestions to streamline the app or make it more appealing?
- How do the "pro" features stack up? (Profile exports, bulk searching, API access)
- Suggestions for improvements

I would appreciate any constructive input.
I'm not allowed to post links yet but it's available at the project's name + .com
I don’t know much about OSINT, but it sounds like a useful project! Maybe focusing on making the interface simple and easy to use could help more people.

Thx for the feedback!
Hey

I think that this product is too expensive for what it is. Paying 15$ just for the search feature would not be worth it for me.

The bulk search and excel download would be a good feature together, but not for enterprise pricing. Also, there are open source tools that can do the same thing.

I think that you should work on getting data from other places as well. If this tool were able to scrape from more websites, while including the excel download and bulk search in a cheaper sub, it would be an interesting product.

Sorry for being a bit rough, just trying to help.
Good luck with the product and future development 😁✌

No offense taken!

What open source tools do you know that have email -> LinkedIn data? I haven't seen that and would like to try that out.

Getting data from more places is fair and I'm working on that!

Thx for the feedback 😁✌

I remember using a python tool made by GoSecure that deanonymizes emails by using Outlook. I looked a bit more into this to not say any bullshit- and I found that there has been some changes on how much info linkedin can give out in API requests, so this method might not work anymore.

I wanted to test it but I wont have time to do so in the following days, so I decided to just write this to not keep you waiting 😁

Cool reference!

That's not exactly what I'm doing but It's kind of similar, I see how a hobbyist or tech savvy OSINT researcher (which most probably are) could get that working for personal use, but I also see the value in having a convenient webapp to not get hits with rate limits and for ease of use.

I agree with you though that I should tweak the pricing plans, and work on getting more information to add more value.

Make sure to keep us updated with the changes, I would love to see this become full-fledged tool at an affordable price. 😁
Honestly sounds very solid, I'd love to see this.
Hey! Over the last 2 months we've been HARD at work and have added a LOTT more data.
Our best modules (in my opinion) are:
- LinkedIn
- TikTok
- Microsoft
- Google
- GitHub

but there are others too! I can't put into words how much better Behind the Email is now, try it out yourself and see what you find! And feel free to give me any other feedback :)
