Monitoring Children Through Apps: Protection or a Violation of Privacy?

I use monitoring tools on Android to keep an eye on my daughter, because I’m worried about her social circle. Do you think this is reasonable?

Is anyone else doing this?

I think this is a violation of privacy. If they are too young. They shouldn't be given their device. And if you are worried about something that block their access on it on whole device or network-wide. That's just my opinion.

EDIT: Part of the reason I think this is way is because I understand that the world is a scary and tough place and I'd rather make the person strong to handle the world. This is not to say that I won't be there for them if they need me.

Wow, that's a good point! I never really looked at it like that. Definitely something to think about, especially when it comes to finding a balance between privacy and safety.
