Hey everyone, I’m new to this forum. I want to thank you all, and I hope I can bring some value to the community.

I’d like to start this thread with a question: Is creating a memecoin still worth it in terms of making money?

I’ve done some research and found that many people are still creating memecoins and making money by inflating their token prices. This seems to happen mostly on Solana and Ethereum. Solana, in particular, appears to have more scams due to its very low (or sometimes near-zero) fees.

While digging deeper, I noticed there are many YouTube videos explaining how to do this. That made me question whether these methods still work. Usually, once a method is widely exposed on YouTube, it becomes ineffective or “dead.”

So my main question is: Is there still any room left to participate and succeed in this space, or is the market already saturated?

The methods to launch a token with an accompanying liquidity pool are straightforward, repeatable, and quite easy.

What isn't as easy is launching the token with momentum and actually driving volume. That is where the creativity comes into play.

Thanks for answering. I have a question regarding bots that enter trades at the very beginning. I think there are already enough of them to inflate a token’s price. Of course, I need to be careful about preventing them from exiting the trade too quickly, for example by adding extra fees when selling the token.

Would that be enough, or do I also need to focus on the marketing side?

To be honest, I’m a bit confused. I have low capital to start this project (2 SOL). Do you have any suggestions?

Snipe bots can certainly help drive the price up early, but can be equally detrimental if they aren't YOUR snipe bots and they just dump the token on future buyers.

It still will make you money but unlike the old times now you need to have initial cap to make that happen. I have been developing in crypto space for a long time so yes its saturated but if you have inital cap you still can make good money on solana

Most runners on Solana are launched via launchpads like Pump.fun where you don't have to fund the entire LP by yourself. Depending on the meme/tech/project/whatever, volume at the time of launch and (most importantly, but coins can still run without this) your connections or reputation.

tbh, if you want to make money i would recommend you to create a real coin. This is more time, more effort etc but you ll make something legal, and valuable for you future portfolio. And if you work really hard you ll make more money from this than from memecoins.
