Hi everyone,
I’d like to introduce POOM, an open-source, pocket-sized hardware tool we’ve been building for wireless forensics, security research, and ethical pentesting.
POOM was designed specifically for defensive use cases: understanding RF environments, auditing IoT deployments, and learning how modern wireless systems
Why POOM?
Most portable tools still focus heavily on 2.4 GHz. POOM is built around the ESP32-C5, which enables native 5 GHz Wi-Fi alongside other radios, making it far more relevant for modern networks.
Core capabilities (for research & forensics)
Built for learning, auditing, and controlled environments
POOM is currently live on Kickstarter and already funded.
Thanks — and looking forward to constructive feedback from the community.
