Ban Ebooks & Marketplace Activity

I would like to suggest that we ban ebook activity on the forums. I think it deters certain people from the site, and it could be illegal in some areas, and is unethical because by the very nature of the ebook... it's a always a method to scam people. AI generated writing and "exclusive method" theft are also a very real concern and govs will likely continue to crackdown on that.

Under existing rules, perhaps "ebooks" are already banned if it's considered to be a form of fraud in general because that's checks notes already how the site works?... The legal definitions for fraud would most likely treat these "new methods" as fraud because it involves asking for money under a any identity, to deliver a method that's not truly real.

eBooks have been useless for years now.

Back when I was in reviewers, there were quality ebooks. they had to be reviewed, well at least reviewing made them gain traction.

Given where we are today, most eBooks are saturated as fuck and useless.

People join the forum thinking they will get even close to the results the OP is claiming, however rarely the case. Then a DD happens where the purchaser complains the method wasn't straight forward or etc.

Waste of time and energy and braincells.

There's 3-4 MAIN users who do this and make a killing, sorry that it will ultimately affect you if this is done.

DEAL ONLY ON SITE, I DO NOT DEAL ON DISCORD.
No post, comment, PM, convo or any correspondence from me should be considered financial advice.
100% agree with this. 99.99% are scams and completely useless. The "vouchers" remind me of you-tube reviewers who get the product for free....def not bias.
I agree it is time for them to go. But also realize that the problem is across the board and not just HF exclusive. The Ebook gold rush has faded and is just scamy spam now.

The ebook goldrush was easy for people to get behind as it had a low barrier to entry for years, anyone could use AI content to churn out a private method in ten minutes, leading to the flood of spam you've seen. Most users have developed a spam filter in their brains. If a post looks like a sales pitch for a $25.99 ebook, they scroll right past it.
Thanks for your suggestion.
