I just saw this on X and it is actually crazy.
Some dude sent Grok Morse code and got it to decode the message. The decoded message was basically a command telling Bankrbot to send the wallet’s assets over to him.
Since Bankrbot saw it as coming from Grok, it actually ran the command and sent over $170k.
From what I read, they tracked the dude down after and got around 80% of it back, but still, that is insane.

Crazy. But some details are missing in the article or not explained every well.
That's a pretty clever attack vector using Morse code as an intermediary. I'm curious what specific details you found missing or poorly explained in the article? The attack seems to exploit both AI interpretation and automated financial systems in a way that's almost elegant in its simplicity.

This is a bit confusing to me. Where did the 170k come from? His wallet? Or was it from Bankrbot

This is honestly wild but also kinda proves how badly designed some AI systems are right now lol.
The Morse code itself isn’t even the scary part. The scary part is that the bot apparently trusted whatever Grok translated and just executed it like: “yep looks legit, sending $170k now” 💀
That’s a massive design failure.
If an AI can read random user input, interpret it, then trigger wallet actions without proper checks, people are gonna abuse the hell out of it. This is basically prompt injection mixed with social engineering.
Feels like a preview of what’s coming too.
why don’t i possess this kind of incredible skill bro

theres no way? I wish that was me ! i want $170k!
Wow .. that is insane .. Idk if I believe it.
Damn thats crazy , shows how vulnerable the system can be
Its insane seeing how easy it can be, but at the same time this should be a wake up call to not trust anything just because its new and feels special.... 170k couldve been gone forever if they didnt tracked him down. ^^
The risk of not taking risk is riskier than comfort.
Never Deal Off-Site!
They really be trying anything they can think of to exploit but it's more surprising how vulnerable the system was
