Brave Browser genuinely surprised me

Thought Brave was just another overhyped “privacy browser” at first but after using it properly for a while I actually get why people rate it now.

The biggest thing I noticed instantly was how clean everything feels.

Less ads, less popups, pages load quicker, YouTube feels way less cluttered, and I barely needed any extensions compared to before.

I also didn't realise how much random tracking happens in the background until Brave started blocking everything automatically.

Another thing I liked is it still feels familiar because it's Chromium based, so switching over wasn't annoying at all.

Not gonna act like it's some magic anonymous hacker browser or anything cringe like that, but for daily use it's honestly solid.

The mobile version is pretty good too surprisingly.

Anyone else here use Brave long term?

Or what browser are you all using these days?

Yes! Even the fact that when I get out of YouTube my music or video will still be playing in the background without pausing. Amazing.
yes good actually but it consumes more amount of ram space

Yeah that’s fair, I must agree with you on that - Brave definitely uses a bit more RAM, but I think the built-in adblock, tracker blocking and privacy features make up for it. Saves me installing a bunch of extra extensions too.

I did not know that it allows you to watch Youtube without ads. This changes things...

I'll follow up when I'm fully converted, haha.
This signature is for sale.
Personally, all I need is Firefox + uBlock Origin.

Never saw a reason to switch away from this stack.
