Lately, I honestly haven’t been watching much of anything. I haven’t properly watched anime in a long time, and there really isn’t much free time for that anymore hahaha.

Even so, I still end up hearing about a lot of new things through memes, short videos, recaps, and all the random stuff fans love posting, whether it’s geek culture, anime, video games, etc. I’ve never owned gaming consoles or anything like that, but sometimes I enjoy watching playthroughs of games, whether they’re for console or PC.

As for anime, I barely watch anything related to it anymore — mostly just memes. Right now, the only thing I really know about is Uma Musume because of all the memes and little AI-generated or traditionally edited videos floating around.

To hardcore anime purists or otakus who are deeply into this type of entertainment, I’m probably some kind of heretic at this point hahaha.

But tell me, how do you all keep up with new stuff these days? How do you find out about new anime, games, and trends? Do you actually make an effort to save money and schedule free time for those hobbies, or do you eventually just accept being busy with work and end up discovering things through memes and social media instead?

I don't really watch no more unless it's like a new gundam series or something

read the synopsis and pick ones you like

after I complete a show or after every episode I read the reddit discussion thread to see what other people think (r/anime and search for "anime name + episode + discussion")

Look up local anime conventions if you want to meet other weebs or cosplay.

I don't really buy merch except very occasionally. Mostly fan art from the artist alley at anime cons.
