Your First Bad Experience When You Started Hacking

Hey everyone,

This time I'd like to ask if any of you remember the first bad experience you had when entering the world of cybersecurity or hacking.

Maybe you accidentally broke something, crashed a computer or mobile device, had a creepy or unsettling experience, or perhaps a more experienced person played a nasty prank on you. Anything that made you stop and think, "What did I just get myself into?"

Personally, I still haven't immersed myself deeply enough in the field. Work takes up most of my time and energy, and these days I can barely manage to watch English videos on the bus while commuting to work, hahaha.

But what about you? What was your most terrifying, adrenaline-filled, or unexpected experience when you were just getting started? Did anything happen that caught you completely off guard or made you question whether you wanted to continue?

I'd love to hear your stories.

When I was younger I attacked a government owned network and website, I was taken for a voluntary interview with police. Definitely learnt my lesson after that and changed my ways, very very stupid thing to do don't mess with things that don't belong to you or that you don't have permission to test.

Accidentally shut down one of the biggest wind farms in europe.

I used to snipe new launchpads on Base and early into my career the developer of the platform froze my wallet locking around $6000 in Ethereum at the time which was my entire portfolio.

I was able to reach out to him and after a long conversation he unfroze my wallet.

I did not stop sniping tokens after that, but I did learn the value of risk management.

I had hacked a Facebook account and linked it to a fake email address that I controlled. I later found that the person whose account had been hacked managed to recover it and contacted me, saying that he would report the matter to the police and try to track me down.

As a result, I ended up hacking the account again and destroy it.
