I’ve been noticing this more lately.
People can spend 10 hours a day “working” and still avoid the one thing that would actually move their life forward.
Emails.
Planning.
Research.
Watching business content.
Organizing Notion.
Tweaking a website nobody visits.
All of it feels productive because you're doing something.
But sometimes the most productive thing you can do is something uncomfortable:
Make the call.
Publish the thing.
Ask for the sale.
Apply for the job.
Ship the product.
Talk to the customer.
Curious if other people have caught themselves doing this.
What’s your biggest “productive procrastination” habit?
That's how I felt when I made my website, lost my credit card processor, and recovered from that lol. You got me motivated to do some organization today and build a todo list

The stuff that takes balls is delayed. Ive seen countless friends want to start a business and they spend a week focusing on getting company t shirts printed then nothing happens.
Lol true, the reason I can't build my gunpla
Ew, notion.
Affine is bae.
I'd like to add "cleaning my office" as something that keeps me busy but I'm not really doing anything.
In my mind when my office is clean and organized I feel more like doing actual work.

The right environment changes everything. A clean, organized setup will prepare you for a day of success. That's why I always make my bed each day. Success breeds success.

Making your bed everyday only makes sense if you work in your bedroom. :)
I have an office in the house I work from.
But I get your point. My wife does insist the bed is made daily. Our routine is whoever gets out last, has to make it. Most of the time I wake up early just to avoid that 1 minute chore. LOL
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER
I've gotta admit I have a pretty bad habit of only learning something halfway. I spent hours learning how to get around Notion before jumping into something else, and now that's on the back burner. So by the end of the week I'll have picked up on a lot of learning curves, but don't fully master something I'm getting into. Thanks for the little bump on the head, and reminding me to stop procrastinating!
